Spring Country Getaway

After a 5 weeknight excursion at Victorian Country Inn, B&B LLC., C D thanked us for his country excursion.
He said he enjoyed his nature walks, bird watching& their songs, watching the chickens free range and the gathering of the eggs. Ray "Buddy" took him on a farm safari in our Pioneer ATV as well.
He had a different 3 course farm fresh breakfast daily. See photos. One day he had fresh asparagus quiche wit a bacon asparagus wrap but he really like my bird nest egg basket breakfast with nest out of hashbrowns and 2 fresh eggs with orange yolks not pale yellow yolks like store bought.
This was C D 4th visit and is looking forward to next visit again.

Cowboy Chuckwagon Dinner Show

A surprise themed Birthday Show was hosted by Victorian Country Inn and Mary Martin.
Todd Martin arrived with 18 friends and family in the Party Bus Limo service on Oct 20, 2012 where a bang up surprise dinner party began. After checking into the cozy cabin they were donned with bandanas and cowboy hats.

Then the Stagecoach Wagon Driver Dave took them to the back 20 where
the Chuckwagon Cooks had Cowboy Beef Stew, Sourdough & Rye Bread, Cornbread, Cowboy Coffee, Cowboy Chocolate Cake, Depression Spice Cake, and Peach Cobbler. A demo of how to cook in Dutch ovens were performed by Angel and Wade Monckton of Black Pots Club. They did a terrific job and authenicated it with stories of cattle drives and chuckwagons.

Dean Spencer was our local family historian storyteller and is also known as  our Deputy Drive by Dean. Refer to our own Cowboy Courier newsletter created by Alyssa Anderson, marketing agent for VCI.

During the hayride and stage coach wagon hay ride it was robbed of the strong box. The hold up ended up in a shootout on our 1896 family estate here at VCI.
At camp those Outlaws were shooting up the camp and it seemed I saw Todd in the pine box casket.

The Chuckwagon Dinner Show was quite a success and hope others you will create your own posse.

I ended up being the mortician as a steward (nurse) there was more dead outlaws than wounded Thanks to the Marshalls!

Thanks to my asst Alyssa for photographing this living history of Cowboys & Chuckwagon
